Huddersfield University new Oastler Building

Eiregramco have just completed the external stone facade using Crosland Hill Yorkstone  as the local stone material from Johnsons Wellfield.The University was officially opened on the 24th April 2017 and involved the installation of 1700 sqm of 30mm stone on Eclads ESV system back to metal stud wall,including soffits and stone roofing .

AHR Architects designed the iconic building with a curved frontage facing onto Huddersfield’s main ring road with a 3.5 m cantilever across 6 stories.

Eclads ESV system transferred all the dealoads to the floor slab and windloads to the backup structure to maintain a one third vertical running bond intersected with aluminium shadow gaps at the floor slab
